The University of Southern Queensland (UniSQ) School of Surveying & Built Environment held an Honours Conference on October 23rd, 2024.
The event started by updating donors and members who have supported the Universities community liaison officer. Along with other representatives, they shared exciting news about the significant increase in student enrolment across various Surveying degrees within the school, as well as higher-than-expected graduation rates. Professor Kevin McDougall gave special recognition to sponsors like AIMS, acknowledging their crucial role in supporting the community officer, which has contributed to the rising student numbers.
Currently, the university boasts its largest ever intake of first-year students, with over 200 new students. Over 1100 students are now studying surveying at different stages of their degrees, making this the largest cohort in the country.
The second part of the day showcased presentations from the final year honours students, highlighting their project work.
AIMS congratulates all the honours students on their impressive presentations and is committed to the ongoing support of the university and it's surveying students.
