The AIMS 2023 Newcastle Regional Seminar was held on 12 May 2023 with a welcome dinner the night before.
The Welcome Dinner was held at The Grain Store, and the seminar at NOAHS on the Beach Hotel.
The morning began with papers / presentations followed by lunch. The afternoon was dedicated to our sponsor interactive sessions.
We had a special guest speaker Mr. Ed Tonks, a local historian who will give an overview of Newcastle area coal mining from the convict days of the early 1800s to the 1880s.
Attendees also had the opportunity to interact with the latest equipment from leaders in the industry.
The event was both informative and educational and we look forward to hosting more events in Newcastle.
