The inaugural WA AIMS Technology Day was held in Perth on 15th February 2019. Offered as a free event for AIMS members, SSSI members and students there were over 80 registrants and it was a big success.
Starting the day with a DMIRS Authorisation candidate session, AIMS Vice-President Shane Watson gave an informative presentation to the aspiring graduates and students. Feedback from the students was overwhelmingly positive, as they appreciated the opportunity to gain significant clarity on the requirements in terms of their portfolio, standards, and knowledge of legislation.
After lunch the tech workshop sessions commenced in four separate groups, with a broad range of survey hardware and software vendors showcasing the latest technology. Again excellent feedback was received from all who attended and the hands-on sessions were particularly appreciated.
AIMS sends out a big thanks to all the vendors for putting a significant effort in to making this day a success.
