Welcome to the latest AIMS newsletter. We hope this information will be of interest to all AIMS members, friends and supporters.

MEMBERS - IT IS TIME TO RENEW!

Members are reminded that AIMS 2023 Membership expires on 31 December 2023. It is now time to renew for 2024 - don't delay!

 

‍‍2024 CORPORATE MEMBERSHIP - 25% DISCOUNT OFFER



After a successful trial in 2023, AIMS is again offering Corporate Membership options for companies wishing to support their employees in joining our professional association.

 

Corporate Membership is a bulk-purchasing membership option that enables a company to purchase bulk membership seats on behalf of their employees, giving them the opportunity to join (or renew) their AIMS membership at no personal cost.

 

2024 Corporate Membership applications and renewals are now available, with a substantial first-year discount being offered for new applications! AIMS is offering a 25% discount for the first year for all new Corporate Members!

‍AIMS 2023 NATIONAL CONFERENCE WRAP-UP

The 2023 AIMS National Conference was held in September 2023 at the Hyatt Regency in Darling Harbour, Sydney.

 

In one of the largest AIMS Conferences ever held, it was wonderful to see so many attendees and sponsors enjoying themselves at both the conference and networking events in Darling Harbour.

AIMS STRATEGIC PLANNING WORKSHOP

On Saturday 16th September 2023 the annual strategic planning workshop was held for the Australian Institute of Mine Surveyors (AIMS).

 

A review of the current business plan, prior SWOT analysis and discussion on the strategic direction and objectives of AIMS for the forthcoming years was held.

 

Major Focus points and the underlying Critical Success Factors were identified and actioned.

  

The event was attended by: Shane Watson (WA), James Sherritt (NSW), Jonathan van Wyk (NSW), Grace Mulcahy (WA), Duncan McDougal (QLD), Michael Price (NSW), Joel Wooby (NSW), Sean Barrett (QLD) and Chris Moy (Coordinator/Facilitator).

On behalf of myself and the AIMS board, I would like to take this opportunity to wish every member and sponsor of AIMS and your families a very Merry Christmas and a safe, bright and prosperous New Year.

 

I would like to thank the members, the AIMS board and its subcommittees for their time and efforts in 2023.

 

Some of those dedicated volunteers are pictured below at the recent AIMS Conference in Sydney.

 

Over 10 professional events have been run this year for CPD, candidate development & networking across NSW, QLD and WA. We are always looking to improve our events so please pass on any ideas or if you have time available to volunteer please reach out.

 

We are looking forward to another successful year for 2024 with a full calendar of professional events planned to be held across Australia. The National Conference in Perth from the 19th to 21st August 2024 will be a showcase event and will further support our growing member base in WA.
